Indirect Tax Specialist
Our pace is our competitive advantage. KMA is growing at least threefold year-on-year, and we are looking for an Indirect Tax Specialist who will help us scale even faster.
Briefly about the role:You will be the first person on the in-house team to take responsibility for all processes related to indirect taxes. This is an opportunity to build a department from scratch — from registration in various jurisdictions to automating tax returns and interacting with contractors. This role is for someone who wants to have real ownership and influence over a key business process.
Your tasks
1. Preparation and submission of VAT/sales tax returns in jurisdictions where we are already registered.
2. Registration of VAT payers in new jurisdictions in accordance with thresholds and local legislation requirements.
3. Automation of reporting processes and preparation of systematic approaches to tax compliance.
4. Analysis, verification, and approval of reports prepared by contractors in cooperation with the accounting and finance teams.
5. Monitoring changes in global tax legislation and assessing their impact on the business.
6. Supporting internal teams on digital product taxation issues.
7. Conducting reconciliations, collaborating with external providers, and developing structured processes.
What we expect from you
1. 3+ years of experience in indirect taxation (VAT/sales tax) in global jurisdictions.
2. Experience with VAT compliance in Cyprus is a must.
3. Practical experience with digital product taxes.
4. Experience in preparing, submitting, and verifying tax returns.
5. Experience in registering VAT payers in EU countries, the UK, and the US.
6. Understanding of accounting systems and experience with automation tools.
7. Upper-intermediate or higher level of English — written and spoken.
8. Initiative, analytical thinking, hands-on approach, and willingness to work with routine tasks.
9. Ability to understand new processes and build from scratch.
